Sprinkler Parts

There are four main categories of sprinkler parts. Click on the appropriate link below to get more detailed information on each of these categories.

Sprinkler Heads / Nozzles

Sprinklers come in a variety of types and sizes. Most lawns use .5″ or .75″ sprinklers and generally pop up 2″, 3″, or 4″. A sprinkler heighth is measured by how high it pops up and not by the length of the sprinklers casing. There is a diverse selection of rotor sprinklers, spray head sprinklers, and impact sprinklers to enable you to keep your lawn and garden looking great.

Pumps

Lawn sprinkler pumps are used to pump water to lawn sprinkling systems. These pumps can be used to draw water from wells, ponds, lakes, cisterns or tanks. Keep in mind that sprinkler pumps are restricted to a twenty-five foot lift. When selecting a lawn sprinkler pump you will need to know three things; the total length of the sprinkler system’s longest pipe run, the pipe diameter and the collective capacity of the sprinkler heads in gallons per minute (gpm). Most manufacturers provide a chart you can plug the information into to size your pump.
